Chitika Insights says the iPhone, Kindle and Surface were the big holiday winners
The online ad network Chitika has issued a new report on the holiday season based on ad impressions coming across its network. The information is derived from ad impressions generally seen in browsing activity.
Chitika says that Apple’s iPhone has grown its share during the 2013 holiday season, growing 1.8 percent. It was the only smartphone device to show gains during the reporting period. Apple’s iPad, however, lost some share, falling 1.3 percent as both the Kindle Fire from Amazon and the Surface from Microsoft picked up some share of the tablet market.
“However, in both the smartphone and tablet spaces,” Chitika reports, “Apple users still generate the highest share North American Web traffic as compared to any other manufacturer.”
