Meredith says it will raise the rate base for Allrecipes magazine to 650,000 starting in April
From web to print to television, Allrecipes proves a brand with legs
The digital edition may have proved to have been a disappointment, but the print edition of Allrecipes magazine is proving successful enough to boost the rate base starting with the April issue next year. The rate base will go from 500,000 to 650,000 (see post on app here).
The magazine launched just last month and the Newsstand app is so new that it doesn’t even have enough reviews to register in iTunes yet. But the well known web brand, combined with television segments is driving sales.
“We have received enthusiastic feedback from readers and advertisers for Allrecipes magazine and our swift decision to increase the ratebase to 650,000 is indicative of the tremendous excitement surrounding this new launch,” says Steve Grune, Publisher, Allrecipes magazine.
The magazine’s circulation should get a boost from the constant promotion Apple is giving the new magazine launch, featuring the title inside the Food & Drink app section under magazines, and once again in the Newsstand under the Cooking category.
The brand is also getting promoted through Meredith’s nationally syndicated television program, The Better Show, which airs on the Hallmark Channel.
