Cyber Monday for media people: 20% off QuarkXPress 10; AdAge discount; Photojojo flash sale, etc.
It’s Cyber Monday, the day people return to work from the Thanksgiving Day holiday and pretend to work while actually spending the day shopping online – or at least that is the way many see it.
So, if you really need to continue to shop, here are some things to look out for:
Quark: 20% off QuarkXPress 10
TapEdition: 30% off monthly or 50% off yearly subscriptions for Cyber Week
AdAge: Cyber Week Sale, Print+Digital $59/Year
Photojojo: a Flash sale. No, not the software, but the lighting.
Barnes & Noble: still selling its NOOKs cheap. NOOK Simple Touchat $39, NOOK HD Tablet at $79.
National Geographic: its store is having a Cyber Monday (I didn’t even know they had a store?!) Free shipping.
Apple: if you’re looking for a great deal on a Mac you might be disappointed, as the word “Cyber Monday” does not appear in its promotional emails or on its website this morning.
Amazon: This is the day the giant online retailer makes a killing. If you are in the market for a Kinlde, Amazon is offering the new Kindle Fire HDX at $50 off (now $179)
Target: best deals for media folks are probably the Nikon L320 for $99 (regularly $229) or an unlocked Samsung GS3 for $239.99 (unlocked phones are worth their weight in gold if you travel overseas).
