Jonty Kelt named new CEO of Onswipe

Kelt was formerly DoubleClick Vice President and Group Commerce CEO

NEW YORK, NY – November 15, 2013 — Onswipe, the all-in-one publishing and monetization platform for the mobile web, today announced that Jonty Kelt has joined the company as Chief Executive Officer. Kelt takes the reins from Jason Baptiste, Founder of Onswipe, who has transitioned into the full-time role of Chief Marketing Officer, effective immediately.

Kelt has spent the last 15 years working at the intersection of publishing, advertising and technology. Most recently, at both DoubleClick/Google and Group Commerce, he pioneered technology solutions that helped publishers to optimize monetization of their content, and advertisers to maximize ROI on marketing spend. While at DoubleClick, Kelt built the company’s international search technology and services business into $650 million dollars a year in media spend, servicing clients in 28 countries. He then co-founded Group Commerce, a fellow Spark Capital portfolio company, where he helped publishers generate new revenue streams from e-commerce, before combining the company with Nimble Commerce to create a global platform processing hundreds of millions of dollars in gross merchandise value.

According to BI Intelligence’s “Future of Digital 2013” estimates and eMarketer, respectively, 60% of online devices are now smartphones or tablets, and mobile is the only growing media with its share of total media consumption increasing from 12% in 2012 to 20% in 2013. Yet even though global mobile ad revenue is, according to the IAB, a significant $8.9B, monetization still lags far behind time-spent.
