The Guardian launches biannual style magazine, The Fashion, to appear in print and in iPad app
The Guardian today announced that it would launch a new style magazine, The Fashion, that will be produced by the editorial staff of the Observer and Guardian newspapers. The new magazine will appear in print for the first time this Saturday in London and the south-east of England, as well as at “select retailers” in England and Wales.
The magazine will also be available within the Guardian’s iPad app.
“The Guardian and Observer have a fantastic team of fashion editors and stylists and we wanted to produce a standalone magazine that showcases that talent,” said Alice Fisher, editor at the Observer magazine, who will also edit the fashion magazine. “The first issue is an in-depth guide to the autumn/winter 2013 collections and trends, produced with the wit and intelligence that readers expect from our team of talented writers.”
The inaugural issue of The Fashion in print will be 84 pages in length and perfect bound, and will feature interviews with Dior’s creative director and British model Jourdan Dunn.
