Matthew Rothenberg joins Summit Business Media as VP of Digital Products

NEW YORK, Aug. 14, 2013 — Summit Business Media today announced that Matthew Rothenberg, the veteran content strategist who played key roles in digital transformation at Ziff Davis Media and Hachette-Filipacchi Media and who later led the content effort at TheLadders.com, will join the company on August 19th as VP of Digital Products, a new position. Rothenberg will report to Summit CIO Brian Magnotta and bring together editorial, IT, and audience marketing resources to accelerate Summit’s development, deployment and monetization of digital products.

Rothenberg’s cross-functional group of editors, audience/traffic development pros and web designers working across Summit’s core markets will form an agile team focused on making Summit the market leader in digital products by enhancing user experience, creating customer opportunities and exploiting Summit’s diverse information resources for insurance, financial services and legal professionals.

“Summit is focused on deepening engagement with our professional audiences by serving their needs at every stage of their careers, with any content or service they need, and on any platform they prefer,” said Steve Weitzner, CEO. “At Ziff Davis, Hachette and TheLadders, and in his many consulting engagements, Matt and his teams have been pioneers in creating and monetizing digital products, and he will accelerate our ability to execute this audience-centric strategy. We are truly lucky to add Matt and his vast experience to our management team.”

“I’m energized by Summit’s thirst for innovation and by this opportunity to extend its relationship with the audiences it serves,” Rothenberg said. “Summit has a powerful array of data, content and technical assets. These great tools will let us build products that deliver vital information to their professional communities.”
